Watch me grow!

Our little boy is growing! He's already 6 months! He has two bottom teeth, is sitting up and just turned over from front to back! He's enjoying formula and eating solids! He is such a happy and healthy baby! We are so blessed to call him our son! Halloween is coming up soon and he is be a dragon! Can't wait to show all the neighbors his costume! This summer we headed to the beach and Davis had his first time at the beach and his first time eating solids! He starting to communicate with us more and more and makes funny noises and is starting to 'spit'! It is very amusing to watch! He also enjoys playing with all his toys! He goes to daycare now three times a week and one day a week my mom watches him and another day a week Derek's mom watches him! He loves his nana and Mimi very much!

Davis is now 4 months old!! Wow times flies!! He is chatting up a storm and puts everything in his mouth! He went to see dr. Peirce last week and he says he is doing great and growing so well. He weighs 15lbs and 10oz!! Almost 16 lbs! He still gets breastmilk and has ever since he was a little baby. Davis is defiantly the light of our life! He started daycare this past Wednesday and did really good. Mrs. Sarah watches him in the baby room and he loves watching the other kids play. I start my new job Monday and we will be going through a little adjustment and schedule change but it will be good in the long run! Davis slept 12 hours through the night two nights ago! He is a great sleeper!!! Just hope he stays that way!!:)

Davis' first pool day

Davis' first pool day was spent at the pool with our good friends Haley and nick Chastang! We had a great time. Davis lasted about 2 hours. He was getting hot and the water was too cold for him to get in. 

Dining room decor

Derek and I spent all day Sunday recovering and painting these dining room chairs. Our neighbor, Celia found us 4 old chairs for $63. I wanted them so we could make them look more modern. They turned out awesome. I just ordered a monogram to put on the back of each of the 4 chairs!! Here's to home decorating!!! 

Nana's 48th wedding anniversary

Grandpa and Nana's 48th wedding anniversary! We went to coach and four to eat dinner tonight. Davis wore a tuxedo outfit given to him by Kristin Gunnell Price... A co worker of mine in the recovery room.

Tonight we went out of Lee Vaughans 32nd birthday dinner at Cafe Asia. 

July 4th 2014

We had a wonderful first July 4th with Davis. Friday we went to the lake while my mom watched Davis Friday night and Saturday. We went to our friends Lee and Meas family lake house and hung out with Leann, Todd Amanda and Josh. It was fun but sure did miss little Davis! He spent the night with Mimi Friday night and Saturday we had a neighborhood cool out. 

All our cul de sac neighbors came to the cookout. We had hamburgers and sides. Derek was the grill master this time but the cookout was at Joan and Jim's house. Celia, Leanne and Jensen all held baby Davis and Andrew. They all loved him! He wore his cute flag outfit that my mom bought him at a baby boutique. He was defiantly my lil firecracker. Derek light off fireworks that night with everyone in the cul de sac and Davis and I went home and went to bed. It was a wonderful Fourth of July and Davis' first Fourth of July! 

It's july 2014

It's almost July 4th and we took pictures infront of our beautiful home. My flowers have really grown thanks to the daily watering from Derek and I to the perfect amount of sunlight arranged by the positioning of house. The night of these pictures we went to eat Mexican with our dear friends Haley and nick who are expecting little carter this September! We really can't wait to meet carter and have okay dates!!! 

I will begin my new adventure on August 9th as Davis will begin his new adventure on daycare starting August 4th. I'm very optimistic that we are both going to love our new journeys. I will be working 4 10 hour shifts as an NP for acute care service general surgery. I can not wait to embark on this new adventure. Very different from the RN perspective and very different hours. I have really enjoyed my time with Davis working part time. Only 1 more month left!!! Beach at the end of August with my family!! Can't wait!! Davis' first beach trip!!! Should be interesting driving 8 hours with a 5 month old ;) 

And more about Davis... He is sleeping through the night! He started about a week ago making 8 to 10 hour stretches in the middle of the night! Mommy and daddy are so proud of our little boy! He amazes me everyday! He loves to swing, be read too, watch cartoon, sleep, eat, and have playtime outside as of now! No more fussy wussy colic or acid reflux (whatever that was the first three months) thank goodness that's over! Love u little angel!!

New car Tuesday-- Davis 3 months old

Today the family drove to Danville to pick up our new car... A 2012 nissan pathfinder. It has tan leather seats, 50,000 miles, third row seating and rear air conditioning for Davis. Davis did soo good! He slept most the time in the car. He woke up and ate some milk and laughed as we were signing the papers and paying the guys!! We then went to eat at ruby Tuesday before driving back to Roanoke! Davis ride back with me and Derek drove the old car home... It was a nice day!! Funny story... Derek was putting Davis' stroller in the back of the car and as he was doing so ... Two soda cans spilt all in the back of the new car.... I was so mad at home for a few seconds . The man told us he would shampoo the back so it wouldn't be sticky... Thank goodness!!!
